Set it once, collect every cycle.

Everything a subscription needs after the first checkout is already built — the charge, the fallback when it fails, and the page where customers help themselves.

01 / FLEXIBLE LIFECYCLE

A flexible lifecycle for every subscription.

Trials, cycles, renewals, pauses, cancellation — every state a subscription passes through is configurable per plan. The first charge carries the authentication; everything after runs on the stored credential, on the schedule you set.

  • Standard weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly cycles — plus custom day intervals.
  • Free or discounted trials validate the card first.
  • Renewals need no CVV and no repeat 3DS.

04 / UNDER THE SUBSCRIPTION

One model on a full revenue stack.

A subscription is one of the ways Waffo charges, and it leans on the rest of the platform: the billing models beside it, the retention chain around it, the coupons on top of it, and the payment methods underneath.

Frequently asked questions about subscriptions.

Waffo returns a reason code rather than a bare decline, emails the customer the reason and how to fix it, and retries the charge automatically. A changed card is refreshed through the card networks' account updaters, and if nothing recovers the payment the subscription is paused rather than silently cancelled.

A zero-amount authorization validates the credential before the trial starts. Where an issuer does not support a zero-amount authorization, a small authorization is used instead and voided immediately.

Weekly cycles from one to four weeks, and monthly cycles from one to twelve months — enough to model weekly plans, monthly plans, quarterly plans, and annual memberships.

Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and supported local wallets can each carry a subscription. What is available to a specific business depends on the product, market, currency, and account.

Yes. The customer can cancel from their own subscription page, and access runs to the end of the period they already paid for. You can also cancel by API — but subscriptions that have already expired, or that have a payment in flight, cannot be cancelled.

Yes. Customers upgrade or downgrade from their own subscription page — no need to cancel and re-subscribe.

Card-network account updaters refresh a changed card number or expiry date before the next renewal is due, and the customer can also change payment method from their own subscription page without re-subscribing.

Companies go live on Waffo. Developers start on Pancake.

Two paths, one promise: you build the product, Waffo runs the payments.
